Serfas Hard-Shell Bike Case Hire
Looking for a robust bike travel case for your next cycling holiday? The Serfas Bike Case is a traditional hard-shell bicycle transport case designed to help protect your bike when travelling by air or on longer journeys.
Available to hire from Ross Cycles in Caterham, Surrey, the Serfas offers a rigid polyethylene outer shell, internal foam padding and securing straps to help keep your bicycle in position during transport.
Features of the Serfas Bike Case
-
Durable hard-shell construction: A tough polyethylene outer casing designed to provide protection around your bicycle.
-
Internal foam protection: Padding helps cushion the bicycle inside the case.
-
Internal securing straps: Help keep the bike securely positioned while packed.
-
Two heavy-duty wheels: Make the case easier to move through terminals and other flat surfaces.
-
Suitable for many bicycle types: Published Serfas specifications state compatibility with most bikes up to 29-inch wheel size, subject to correct dismantling and fitment.
-
A practical alternative to buying: Hire a dedicated bike travel case for your cycling trip without the expense or storage requirements of owning one.
Is the Serfas Bike Case Right for Your Bike?
The Serfas is worth considering if you want a rigid case rather than a soft bike bag. However, your bicycle will need partial dismantling before it can be packed, and compatibility depends on the case version, frame dimensions and components.
Road bikes and many mountain bikes may be suitable, but please check the internal dimensions before booking, particularly if you have a large frame, wide handlebars, integrated cockpit or oversized tyres.
We recommend checking your airline's baggage rules, bicycle transport charges and size limits before travelling.
