Building a wheel isn’t always the same job. Some customers arrive with a complete set of components ready to build, while others need us to source spokes, calculate spoke lengths, dismantle an existing wheel or prepare additional components.

Choose your wheel build
Customer supplied rim, hub and spokes £100
Have all the components ready to go? Bring us your rim, hub and spokes and we’ll professionally build the wheel.
Shop supplied rim, hub and spokes £80
Buy the rim, hub and spokes from us and we’ll build the wheel for you. This is the simplest option because we can ensure the components are correctly matched and the spokes are the correct length.
Customer supplied rim & hub – we calculate and source spokes & nipples £125
Already have the rim and hub but need us to work out the correct spoke length and source the spokes and nipples? This option includes the additional time required to measure/calculate the build and supply the correct spokes and nipples.
Rim swap using existing spokes & nipples £40
Replacing the rim while retaining the existing spokes and nipples. This is suitable where the existing spokes are reusable and the new rim is compatible with the existing spoke lengths.
Additional preparation services
Undo a wheel spoke by spoke + £20
Need an existing wheel dismantled carefully, spoke by spoke? Select this option. This is charged separately because dismantling a wheel takes additional workshop time.
Cut a hub out of a wheel for building + £5
If you want to reuse a hub from an existing wheel, we can cut the spokes and remove the hub ready for the new build.
Tyre fitting
You can also add tyre fitting to your wheel build:
Fit tube-type tyre – shop bought +£5
We supply and fit a conventional tube-type tyre purchased from Ross Cycles.
Fit tube-type tyre – customer supplied +£8
We fit your own supplied tube-type tyre.
Fit tubeless tyre – customer supplied kit + £22.50
We fit your supplied tubeless tyre and tubeless kit.
Fit tubeless tyre – shop bought kit + £15
We supply and fit the tubeless tyre/kit purchased from Ross Cycles.
Turnaround
Standard workshop turnaround: 7 days.
Please allow the full 7-day turnaround for wheel builds. Some builds require spoke-length calculations, component checking or parts to be ordered before assembly can begin.
